Daily Steps To Fight Fatigue

Do you often feel fatigued? Do you often feel like you just don’t have the energy you need to do the things you want to do?

If so, here are some great tips to help fight fatigue.

In this post I want to show you how using these great tips will help you fight fatigue and get you back on track to feeling normal great and having lots of energy again.

First things first:

  1. You need to implement these tips for them to work.
  2. Plan free-time to form a habit to make this part of your daily routine.
  3. You will need to push yourself from totally de-motivated to somewhat motivated in order to get what you need from this exercise.

Don’t worry if you are short on time, you will not need lots of time to reap the benefits, you need just need enough time to make some small but impacting changes. However, once you commit to all of the above, you will start to feel better in yourself and you’ll feel happier as a result.

Daily Steps To Fight Fatigue – Go from Feeling Fatigued to Feeling Fantastic!

Start the night before. Why? Because you will be you well rested, and well prepared for the next day to make a start at feeling great again.

For example, if you were to pick tonight to start, you need to prepare yourself mentally and organise what you need to do to make sure to fit in the steps below to fight fatigue. Write it down if you need to, or put reminders in the calendar on your phone.

1. Get an early night

Go to bed and even if you are having trouble sleeping just go to bed and stay there to let your body rest. Your sleeping will improve when you apply the following steps. Ideally, you want to aim to get 6 – 8 hours sleep / rest at the very least.

2. Wake up earlier

As obvious as it sounds, when you have an early night and wake up early you give yourself the best chance to have a great day, feel full of energy and feel great. Leave your blind open, and when the natural light wakes you, rise and shine! This is your body alarm going off. Listen to it and get up.

3. Take 10 before you jump out of bed

Before you get up, take 10 minutes just for you. Don’t look at your phone and stay off social media as it will only serve as a distraction. Try to meditate for a few minutes, even 2 minutes will make you feel ready to start the day.

If you find it hard to meditate and visualise as many do, put on a relaxing song and just lay back and listen. Let yourself be at peace for 10 minutes. Push out negative thoughts and focus on what you are grateful for in your life. This is a great way to lift your spirits before you even get up.

4. Stretch when you get up

The benefits of stretching alone are as follows; Reduced muscle tension, increased range of movement in the joints, enhanced muscular coordination, increased circulation of the blood to various parts of the body and increased energy levels (resulting from increased circulation).

You can do a simple stretch for a couple of minutes in order to help with all of the above. If you have more time, then stretch for longer. Stretch your arms, shoulders, roll your neck slowly clockwise and anti-clockwise, stretch your legs, calves and glutes.

5. Eat a healthy breakfast

Eating a healthy breakfast will help you start your day on the right track. It will help you feel more energised and less tired and irrated. Eating unhealthy breakfasts starts a rollercoaster of problems to your day. For example, eating sugary breakfasts gives you a superficial boost of energy but not for long. As the hours pass on before lunch, you will feel worse and more lethargic when coming down from your sugar rush. Hardly worth it is it?

Follow the general rule, you know what they say: Eat like a King for breakfast, a Queen for lunch and a Peasant for dinner. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day after all and eating well in the morning sets your metabolism up and makes you feel good. It will also help with constipation that adds discomfort to your body.

All of the above combined are guaranteed to improve how you feel on a daily basis. I know, and understand it’s really hard to get the motivation to do all of the above when you feel like crap and feel low on energy… But all I ask is that you start, simply try and take it bit by bit.
